Post Basic BSc Nursing ( Upgradationl Undergraduate Degree in Nursing )

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing is a two-year undergraduate program designed for registered nurses who have completed the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course. Approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), the program aims to upgrade the knowledge and skills of diploma-holding nurses, preparing them for advanced roles in the healthcare system. The curriculum covers key subjects such as nursing foundations, medical-surgical nursing, mental health nursing, community health nursing, and nursing research and statistics. To be eligible, candidates must have completed GNM, be registered with a State Nursing Council, and have passed 10+2 in any stream (as per university norms). Graduates of Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing can work in hospitals, community health services, educational institutions, or pursue higher studies such as M.Sc. Nursing or healthcare management.
